Alive in Your Skin
Your skin is a living archive of our everything you’ve lived.
So when it came to Avuva’s brand launch into the Egyptian market, we chose to lead with feeling rather than function. In a category overwhelmed with product claims, we set out to launch with purpose and make people feel something before selling them something.
The TVC was a visible reflection of each woman’s journey. Without explicitly telling their stories, we hinted at identity through aesthetic. Each woman represented a different narrative, expressed through her ‘set’ of interests as well as how she looked, moved, and carried herself.
The message? Taking care of your skin is an act of honouring the story it tells; the story of your life. Keep writing it, fully alive in your skin.
Translated Script:
When I look at myself, I see an unfinished story.
Everything I live through today, will leave its memory on my skin tomorrow.
It tells my story, without me having to say a word.
What has affected me, what I have endured, my silliness and the choices I’ve made.
A story with all its details. One look and it’s easy to know everything about me.
Like an open book.
And as long as there are more words to be said, many more stories will be told.
And they will show on me.
